For those of you new to ordering online, shipping may seem a bit confusing. Please call us or email us if you must have your items on a certain date.
Q. When will my order ship?
A. Don't expect your order to ship on the same day you place it. We need time to review it and process it before it goes out the door. You may usually expect it to ship the next business day.
Q. What is a business day?
A. Usually this means Monday through Friday. Exceptions are major holidays. The Glowsource is off Saturday and Sunday and observes all UPS holidays. These include, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. You may still place an order online on these days, however your order will not ship or be processed. Customers who prefer shipping via the US Postal Service (priority mail) should also be aware that the post office observes many additional holidays thoughout the year that may delay shipping times. Contact the post office for more information on these holidays.
Q. If I place an order today to be shipped overnight, can I expect it to arrive tomorrow?
A. No. We still require a day to process. For example, orders placed overnight for delivery in time for the weekend need to be placed on Wednesday. We will ship Thursday and you will receive it Friday. Orders placed overnight on Thursday will ship Friday for delivery on Monday, and so forth.
Q. I placed an order for 3-day on Thursday and it didn't arrive until Wednesday of next week. That's more than 3 days. What happened?
A. UPS 3-day and 2-day refer to time in transit, NOT how many days until you get it. Time in transit begins the day AFTER it ships (2 days after it's ordered) and includes the delivery day. Weekends do not count towards this time. So, an order placed on Thursday would ship Friday. Friday as the ship day does not count in the time in transit. The weekend does not count towards time in transit. The package begins its route on Monday as day 1. Tuesday is day 2. Wednesday, the delivery day, is day 3.
Q. I tried to track my Priority Mail package and the USPS website says only that the package is expected.
A. Unfortunately, the USPS offers tracking information only if and when available. If you like being able to track your package in route, please use UPS.
